The Values Show took place in the school hall of MSS on 27th November, 2005. Over 400 students joined hearts and hands to celebrate values like Honesty, Self-Discipline, Simplicity, Respect, Co-operation, Service, Justice, Responsibility, Peace and Love through singing, dancing, drama and orchestral performances. The idea of a V-Show to promote Core Human Values and to raise funds for the HKIIEL was initiated by the Fund Raising Task Force made up of alumni of Wah Yan Hong Kong and Kowloon and alumnae of Marymount. Over 700 guests and parents of the participating schools attended this performance. A total of $650,000.00 was raised through the concerted efforts of friends and supporters of the HKIIEL. The
HKIIEL was formed in 1997 to promote and develop basic human values. It
began in 1996 when Fr. Deignan and a group of educationalists shared their
concern over the deterioration of human values among the people of Hong
Kong, especially the young. The HKIIEL was born with a mission to rebuild
values education for people in Hong Kong. |
